Don't think away your feelings
“When emotions are managed by the heart, they heighten your awareness of the world around you and add sparkle to life. The result is new intelligence and a new view of life.”
-- Doc Childre and Howard Martin
How do you intellectualize your emotions?
Many of us live so much in our heads that we intellectualize our emotions. We analyze, rationalize and explain them away so quickly that we don’t actually experience them.
Learn to honour your emotions at all times by being willing to feel them. Of course, you may need to exercise some judgment over how and when you express them.
"Learning to be aware of feelings, how they arise and how to use them creatively so they guide us to happiness, is an essential lifetime skill."

my emotions tend to get me into trouble...honoring them all the time can lead to someone to think that Im weak.
That's what my blog is for...so i can say what i feel....dayum judgement!
that was cool...i agree with Mizrepresent..thats what i do it for...my own therapy!
I guess you two are INSPIRED to WRITE FOR LIFE, literally.
Sheletha I feel you on the weak thing, but thats where it becomes important to excercise judgment over HOW and WHEN you express them.
Just like the conversations on the blog earlier this week. If a woman is feeling a new guy, she doesn't necessarily want to express that by sleeping with him, even if there is this immense attraction going on. Instead she might opt for cooking for him and then inviting him out to the theater or whatever she likes to see if he digs it also. In that way, she is acting on the emotion, but just not in a way that it could possibly back fire on her.
I feel you Rich...all but the cooking part. Ill figure out some way...
That was cute rich! lol. And i like the advice about not sleeping with the guy, cooking instead...never thought of it that way...did know though, that it is better to delay, than to lay right away...okay, i'm getting carried away (lol)
Rich...I'm not feelin you brah..better to lay now to make sure that they are compatible...ask any woman how much she wants to become emotionally attached to a dude to find out he sucks in the bedroom? then she's stuck in a situation where she's not gettin her's and therefore all her needs are being met...lol...just bone and get that part out of the way!!!
If there is an "immense attraction"...I say go for it...Capre Diem son!!!
