Tying up some Loose Ends

With the exception of Sade, Loose Ends was one of the hottest groups to come out of London. I've always liked them and I haven't heard any of their music in a while so I thought I'd take a walk down memory lane and share my love of music at the same time. Check out the cut that put them on the map.

While we are at it, we might as well throw in some Sade. It's the least I can do, since I brought her up.

Check her out as the hot mermaid in "No Ordinary Love"

Have a good weekend everybody.

Thanks, man. This took me back to when music was actually music. Have a great weekend.

I know what you mean. These days everyone sounds alike or they all have the same producer so the beats are similar. Very little individuality in the industry.

Loose Ends is one of my favorite groups ever. Their first three albums---"A Little Spice" (which had Hanging on a String), "Zagora" (their best album of all), and "The Real Chuckeeboo" have been in constant regular rotation since their release in the 80's. Their fourth album, "Look How Long," was good too, but it was technically just Macca (Carl Mcintosh) at that point, and, to me, Loose Ends wasn't Loose Ends unless it was the original three members, Carl, Jane Eugene, and Steve Nichol. Carl and Jane would do a kind of call & response thing in their songs that was part happy banter/bickering on the upbeat songs and all soul on both the fast and the mellow cuts. I could go on about them forever, I love them so much.

There are enough words for Sade. She is at the top of the heap. Iconic. Otherwordly. Perfection. In a class by herself.
