I guess someone really wanted to get into college.
An unknown hacker has infiltrated a massive University of California, Los Angeles database with personal information on 800,000 people, the school said on Tuesday, in one of the worst computer breaches ever at a U.S. university.
The highly sophisticated attack exploited a software flaw to crack the computer system in a bid to obtain Social Security numbers, UCLA said in notices sent to all 800,000 potential victims, most of them current or former students and faculty members.
The University had no suspects despite an emergency investigation that began shortly after the hack was discovered on November 21, said Jim Davis, UCLA associate vice chancellor of information technology. The FBI has also begun a probe.
If you don't have it already, you might want to consider some form of identity theft coverage.

the FBI will eventually get him, then hire him as a consultant. more than likely, the hacker will get caught by another hacker that was busted by the feds and so on.
ROFL..that is so true. Dang...why can't I hack into somebody's system so they will give me a damn job.
If you are going to hack, hack into something worthwhile. why hack into something that will make you study for 5+ years, leave you miserable and worried because the power of the pen belongs to the professor???
I agree, Sheletha.
Why not hack into the Nieman Marcus database and have a truckload of designer shoes sent to you instead??
Get me some Farragamo's when you do!
