History in the making

Sorry for the delay, Blogger had issues last night

If you aren't a sports fan you have yet to learn that not one,

Lovie Smith of the Chicago Bears

but two

Tony Dungy of the Indianapolis Colts

African American NFL head coaches are on their way to the Superbowl.

The game should be quite a treat. You can't go wrong with whomever you pull for. They both are great coaches and both deserve the spotlight. Goodluck Lovie and Tony.

and how is this for a lil st. louis black coach history - when the rams were something back in the day - who was the team that gave them fits? the tampa bay bucs! who was the head coach? tony dungy! who was the defensive coordinator for dungy that gave kurt warner and them clowns hell? lovie smith! he had warren sapp and derrick brooks up the rams ASSES! - the rams did manage to win that close 10-9 game in the dome to make it to their first superbowl - and eventually lovie became the defensive coordinator with the rams after dungy was fired and ended up in indy.

and why ya trippin - don't sleep on mike tomlin the new coach and first black coach of the steelers. 34 years old, and the word on the street is that the dude absoulutely slayed all who dared to interview him. they say he blew them all away with his tight presentation and game plan for coaching an nfl team.

props!

now since lovie only has one year left on a paltry contract (last in the nfl at 1.3 mil) the bears were haggling on whether to show him the money with a long term deal - i think that check is gone have to come. there are offensive and defensive coordinators who make more than lovie - but that crap is about to change!

nice points c-mac, but the rams win against the bucs, didn't vault them into their "first" super bowl, but their second.

the rams first super bowl, super bowl xiv, was in 1980 against the pittsburgh steelers, which they lost 31 - 19

(interesting to note: the rams did win 9 - 0 over the bucs in the nfc champ game to get into the super bowl)

thanks though for wakin' me up on mike tomlin. i was sleepin' on that story and lovie smith and tony dungy SHOULD GET MO' MONEY!!!!

lance,

my man - i meant first trip since moving to "the lou" - not when they were in LA... that score may have been been 12-9.. it was something wierd like that. a close game and a touchdown to ricky proel that barely made it.

by the way - did you hear that i was going to get you working as a comedian. you got some clever takes!

good lookin' c-mac...i was thinking about the los angeles rams, they were my team til they fumbled the ball in picked it up st. louis. then i lost interest and pulled for my home state team, the CAROLINA PANTHERS!!!! YAY-YAY-E!!!!

finally, a super bowl with two black coaches. i was hoping to see two black quarterbacks one day in the super bowl by now, but it'll happen sooner or later.

If Michael Vick would stay off the weed, maybe he could make it.

Probably not, but I want to hear you two buffs views on Vick.

"you can take a brother outta the hood...but sometimes you can't take the hood outta the brother."

i don't feel sorry for him to be honest with you. if they throw the book at him, good for his dumb ass. more than likely, the flight he was getting was free and with all that promotional shit he gets, couldn't he got a chartered flight? hell, i think he was going to miami? that's nowhere from the a-t-l.

oh well, he'll probably autograph the back of a jersey for some judge's kid and a slap on the wrist and be out.

but let us get caught with some weed, anywhere.

ROFL!!!!

But really, I was so hyped watching the Colts game lastnight. I don't really have a preference between the Bears and Colts, for the Superbowl. But that was a helluvah comeback Indiana had...

Come on, Denea, let's stay ON POINT!!!

Lance, no, they're not pumps--they're STILETTO'S!!! They aren't Charles David's either (though I do love CD). My new shoes are made by Enzo.
