Spending Get new kitchen/dining room sets. Buy new linen and towel sets. Put down payment on travel trip to Europe.
Desire Level 7/10
Resistance 1/10
Your Comments It is getting harder figuring out what to do next as the money increases. I have purchased so many things, gotten out of debt and traveled. All I want to do is enjoy what I have instead of spending everyday

Spending
$7,000.00 to pay up 6 months worth of bills. $5,500.00 to travel to a Latin American country and enroll in a language school where I live with a host family. Have always wanted to do that!
Desire Level 10/10
Resistance 1/10
Your Comments I am praying that this "game" works itself into my REAL life. I have always wanted to improve my Spanish skillz by living in a Latin American country immersed in the language and culture. Keep me in prayer!

Hey Rich, where U at? U know your "participants" need your support & encouragement to keep this game going that u introduced us to!
;-)

If you read my comment, you see I am content. I don't want alot of stuff, you have to manage and take care of it. I know there is WAY more I am not looking at. I think of Maslow's hierarchy of needs and realize I am still on the bottom level. This game is elevating my focus and the limits I put on my dreams.

Thanx for the favor.

Okay... I've wandered in and am new. I'm not sure if I'm only supposed to spend the introductory $100.00 or that $12.5k.

Anyway, a hundred bucks goes quick and though it's not a whole lot of money i'm torn about what to do with it. I've been struggling with tithing so in the spirit of doing right in God's sight... I give 10% (10 bucks). After that the most immediate would be to buy my husband a pair of sneakers or boots because he missed on the clothing purchase rotation last time.

Capcity - here I is!

Hamil10, if you can handle it, jump in where we are now. the $100 starts you off slow and gives you time to build your list.

Put together a list of 100 things you want to have or do. Then the goal is to spend as much on yourself as possible. Try not to give it away and try not to save any for the next day. I think this game goes for 30 days, so you will definitely have to tighten up your game as you go along.

Check out the link on the rules for more info.

Shai - I'm kind of like you in that I feel like I've gotten most of what I want, except one or two things, but I'm waiting on the right day to buy those.

Never heard of Maslow's heirarchy, but I will check it out.

You learn so much on these blogs

I have a question: In all this buying, what about tithing?

When I looked closer at the "rules" of the game it says to spend your money as it will make U most happy. it's not meant to be a stressful game it's "meant" to make us more aware of how spending our energy & money makes us feel - at least, that's what I gleaned from it.

I found my question interesting. I know there folks who enjoy tithing and feel guilty when they don't.

Tithing: One of my favorite subjects. Because I have been on both sides of the equation, for and against. Maybe we'll do a post on that one day.

The first time I played this, I was focusing on giving a lot, but was told not to really about that. It's kind of like what CapCity said, the game is designed to open you up to attracting more of the money that God has for you. A lot of times we suppress our desires because we figure we aren't going to get it anyway. If you maintain your desire and trust that He will provide then you allow for the miracles to happen in your life.

Gotcha. The tithing discussion sounds good.

I have to say you must have been reading my mind. I was thinking of Didn't Cha Know cause my CD cracked.

Spending It's time for some fun in the sun. I'm taking the family on a 14 Night Transatlantic Cruise on Disney Cruise Ships
Desire Level 10/10
Resistance 1/10
Your Comments I've wanted to take the entire family on a cruise for a while. Now that all of my kids are old enough to enjoy it and remember it, it should be a lot of fun. I especially want my 22 year old daughter to accompany us, since I don't get to spend as much time with her as I would like.
