Day Eleven - Prosperity Game

This game has been a great excercise for me because as I'm playing, I'm coming into money and opportunities that will allow me to excercise what I'm doing here. What I also realize is that I still have to struggle with old thought patterns when money presents itself. The fear of lack can be very prevalent and real. What will you do to change those emotions so that when miracles happen in your life, you don't hold yourself back or worse move backwards.

Day 1: THE RULES ON HOW TO PLAY

Spending
Today, I would like to put a down payment on a piece of investment property in the city where my daughter will be attending school.

Your Comments I recall being in college and living off campus. I paid a lot of rent. It would be nice to capitalize on that event as an adult as well as provide my daughter a place to enjoy school without the distracion of campus life and knuckleheads.

Originally I was going to pay bills, but I decided to go for the paradigm shift. If I wait to pay all my bills off, I may never get to do the things that I want to. So instead, I decided to create income producing vehicles in my life.

Summary of Today's Visit
Spending Send my daughter to driver's training, buy myself a cool Coach purse and laptop briefcase, pay off a bill a relative has in my name and have the utility cut off so they can transfer their name to the account. Spend a week in Canada on a sabbatical and write.

Your Comments I am clearing out a lot of things to do that I have either could not afford or hestitated to do. I feel lighter. I feel myself on a new path in life. And I don\'t feel guilty.

Rich, isn't investing money holding on to it. Yeah, it is a risk. However, if it is an income generating vehicle doesn't that contradict the purpose of this exercise?

Not at all. Investing is allowed, especially if it's one of the things you've wanted to do. The only thing that you are warned against is giving it away and spending the majority of it on others.

Ok, gotcha.

Playing catch up! Whew!

I will buy my daughter a car, that's right, so she won't have to drive mine, something used, but useful for $5000.

Your Comments This will be a good thing for all of us, now she won\'t have to rely on me, and hey we can call it a GRAD present.
