It looks like WalMart is trying to win the hearts of its customers back. In a time when profit means more than pleasing consumers (see Exxon Mobils $10 Billion profit in the 3rd quarter), WalMart has decided to take on a major marketing promotion geared towards luring traffic away from Walgreens.
$4 Generic Drugs (no insurance needed).
It's not an end all to the massive high prescription drug problem, but this type of competition is good for consumers. I know a lot of people had to make some decisions surrounding the surge in gas prices, but high priced prescription drugs have been a problem for a long time, especially for the elderly. It's good to see someone doing something about it, even if it is in the name of competition. Hopefully WalMart will see beyond the competition to keep this program around long enough to have a positive impact in the lives of seniors. So far they are in 27 states now.
In addition to that, they are cutting prices on more than 100 toys, and I know my kids will appreciate that!

This is really a great idea, except ain't no Walmarts in DC or even close by (well, maybe 40 minutes away) but that is cheaper than my co-pay.
We have a Walmart in Quincy, but I avoid it as much as possible. It's filthy. Besides all that, though, Rich, your children are beautiful!
Thanks Girly Girl. They make all this work I do worthwhile. They are pretty good kids.
By the way, I was on your myspace site last night. I really dig that Prince you were dropping. I wanted to feature it today, but since blogger hosts my site, they limit what I can load. YouTube didn't have the song, other than some high schoolers.
Yeah, that Prince song is one of my favorites! Thanks for checking out my site. I have tons of fun with the whole myspace thing.
Rich,
I only manage to look at this once or twice a week - but you are a natural at it. It is very entertaining and for real seems to be in line with what I have noticed in the news around that same time. Good job man! c-mac
